Your local stereo shop should have an Alpine unit that will do. It's pretty much identical to the Volvo unit, except less expensive and with a slightly different connector.

I had one added to my '96. It worked very well. They did have to run another cable from the center console, but the whole thing took less than an hour. I don't have my '96 any more, or I'd look at the model number for you. The shop I went to said "Oh, yeah, we put of lot of those in the 850."
