850 Service Light 850 1994

The service light is set to go off at a specified interval. It is different from the check engine light. The Haynes manua--or any good Volvo service manual-- gives the instructions for resetting the light. The dealer can also change the interval that causes the light to go off. I think that the factory setting is every 5k miles, but it can be increased quite easily be a Volvo shop. The check engine light requires a tool for diagnosong fault codes.
