you have 3 o2 sensors, 2 pre-cat and 1 post-cat. bank 1 is cyl 1-3, i think, bank 2 is 3-5 or 4-5 only. p0172 is usually caused by a vacuum leak anyways. check all the little connectors on the intake that hook to the various plastic lines. good luck, chuck.
