Sounds like spark to me, remove the spark plug cover and watch for a blue-spark light show at night. You might have some degraded plug wires that are arcing to ground - I know I did. Also could be rotor/cap. Plug replacement is recommended at pretty quick intervals, something like 10k so could be as simple as a marginal plug.

I would think fuel delivery problems would manifest themselves more in higher RPM driving.
