Remove the grill. On the back, you will find that the slash and emblem are held on with some one-way friction locks. You need to get a small tool, and pry up the tabs on the friction locks, then pull them off of the tabs. You can then remove the slash and emblem portion of the grill. You can then paint the grill, and replace the slash and emblem portion. You can probably reuse the friction locks by flatening out the tabs after you get them off, or else you could get new ones from the dealer.
