Mike--I don't think Alex's software will shut off the service light. I asked him about that last year when I was thinking of buying it for my 97. Nor will his software bring up the airbag codes or other proprietory items. Mostly engine train. There's a British company out there that sales software for 100 quid and the interface for another 100 quid that will access every code Volvo built into the car, as well as turn off the service light. Fortunately, if you have Alex's interface you don't need to buy the Brits. His will work with their software. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of that UK company. It was just a couple of guys who wrote the software and got permission (?) to access all Volvo's codes. I found it under obd2, obd-2, or some other obd combo. Some people buy both Alex's software as well as the Brits. I know Alex at one time was giving a discount on his if you had already bought the English software. They duplicate, but apparently not on everything, which is why some people spring for both. Good luck. Dick
