Thanks S70

No I am not a volvo tech, just a regular guy like you that 5 years ago used to pay $150 for a simple brake job, and tired of paying $75 at the dealer for cleaning the AC drainage duct and things like that.

Five years ago, I bought the Bentley manual for the 240 and found this site. I would visit this site for about an hour every evening, and just read the different posts and the answers given. For the first year I didn't even participated, I just read.

I learned from my readings how to diagnose a malady and how to fix it myself if possible. In the last couple of years I begun to participate and help the volvo newbies. I am glad to help, and is my way of paying back since I was helped many times by other volvo owners on this board.

I have saved hundreds of dollars fixing my volvos, especially the RWD. I am new to the FWD scene, I only had the V70 for 18 months and I new nothing about the FWD volvos, but hanging around this site I have learned about the common maladies and fixes for the FWD.

Keep coming back to this site, read the different posts, ask questions and you'll learn a lot about your car and how to fix it yourself, at least the minor things.

Cheers,
