Rear hatch latch problem V70-XC70 2001

I have been having problems with the latch mechanism on my 01 T-5 wagon. This has been an on and off issue for couple of months. It will work fine most of the times, then it will refuse to latch without having the hatch shut with little bit of force. I have taken in to dealer and have asked them to look at it, and of course the day I take it in, it works fine. Now that the warranty is over, its acting up again. Is there some sort of adjustment or a part that needs to be sprayed with some silacone/wd-40?
