Speed Limiter S80

Just out of curiosity I opened up my 99 T6 on a deserted road late at night to see what it would do. It accelerated hard up until 130 and stopped there.

I'm wondering why the car is speed limited and if anyone knows what speed it is capable of.

Just for the record this was a one time event late at night with no other traffic. I have owned the car for years as a family sedan and commuter but I am a car guy and was always curios about what it could do.
