Yes I replaced the air filter at the same time as spark plugs etc...

I fuelled up with highest grade gas today and it does seem a bit better - maybe dirty fluel injectors (I thought that was just an invention of STP to try and sell their additives :)

I'll take a look at the instructions on thermostat replacement - I have torx wrenches. Thanks!
