Transmission problem V70-XC70 1999

Klaus, thanks for the reply. My local mechanic claims it's "the computer". He also advises not to drain and replace the xmission fluid. No explanation except it may cause problems by loosening sludge? I bought the car used at 30k and have never flushed the transmission. It now has 70k. Is there a special technique to flushing the unit as I have never done it before. Someone also suggested using Motor silk. Any experience with it?
