OIL LEAK 850 1995

Hello Barry. If the car you bought at 104K has been properly maintained, no fear of anything serious. First thing to do, if your car is not a turbo, is to clean the flame trap.At the same time you should replace your oil filler cap rubber seal. It costs less than a dollar and it gets hard over time and looses its sealing properties. You can buy this things at fcpgroton.com. Also at this mileage you should replace the o-ring on the dipstick plastic handle. Procedures to clean the flame trap can be found at www.volvospeed.com.
Also at this car age, it might be a good idea to clean your oil separator and associated piping. In order to do that, you need to take out the intake manifold. Please replay if I can be of further help. Good Luck
