battery life S40-V40

David, My battery just went/'00 S40, 99,900....no warning! It was the original and because I was no where near a Vilvo dealer, I opted for a major brand/auto store battery. I am planning on keeping this car for another year anyway....it just purrs!!!!!! We also just replaced the battery on my wifes '00 V70, 84K as it has been loosing cranking power! My suggestion, don't risk getting stranded! Change the battery.....Bill
