Same thing happened to me twice, Volvospeed has the repair, but, if you shift back and forth from park to drive and back, 'bout 20 times, it may clean the contacts and the trans light will then turn off. That's what worked for me. The check engine light will stay on. Reset next time tyou go to Mechanic. '94 850 turbo
