Oil leak from oil pan drain plug 850 1994

I see one picture too. His point is that the sealing surface should be machined smooth and not grainy. That's why he suggests smoothing it. If you'd rather not try to smooth it, you could degrease the surface, then cement a washer in place on the sealing surface using a hardening sealer like permatex. Then put a second washer on your new smooth surface and give that a try. You should not have to tighten this setup to "Crush" torque.
