99 S70: 'Buzz' in engine compartment S70

Hi -

I just bought a Volvo certified used 99 S70 with only 28K miles, its in beautiful shape. Has the standard 5 cyl motor.

I have noticed that there is a "buzzing" sound in the engine compartment on the left front side (when facing the engine with the hood up) that occurs when the engine is both running and when its off but the key is in the on position. Its obvously something electrical. I asked about it at the dealer and one of the mechanics said the sound was "normal", but its gotten louder since I bought the car....its loud enough now that I can hear it inside the car with the hood down.

Any ideas what this might be???
