I have never seen any of the aftermarket books that give good instructions on how to remove trim. I work for Volvo at the retail level and sometimes their instructions leave a little to be desired. Getting your front door panels off are not too hard. The speaker covers are an intergral part of the panel so DO NOT try and pry them off. All you have to do is pop the triagular piece that covers the outside rear view mirror connections off.(Sometimes these clips brake, there are three and they are readily avaiable and cheap) 2nd there is a small cover inside the armrest handle that prys up and there is a torx 25 screw that you remove.3rd you will need a clip tool that you slide between the panel and the inner door skin and twist to release the clips that secure the panel to the door.4th once the clips are loose and the panel is free from the door grab the panel from the bottom and work it loose from the scraper mouldings on the top by rocking the panel upwards. You can then dis connect all of the connectors for the locks, ect. When you go to put it back the only trick is that there is a liner moulding that has to be removed from the inner scraper moulding and installed on the window cassett before you silp the panel back on. Do not fool with the stock wood trim around the radio as you have to take the whole dash out to change it and even then it is a pain in the A*&.For detailed info.you may want to visit the local delearship and bribe a tech with a case of the local suds for some advice.
