replacing the speedo dial S80 2000

My car was bought in Ireland (Europe) which still had MPH until recently.

Now, I would have thought that if I replaced the dial with a KPH one that the numbers would appear in all of the appropriate places. I did understand of course that the odometer would need to be told about kilometers. I think that this can be done in Vadis by the dealer. Can anyone confirm this?
