850 sunroof

If you are in a cold climate, then you may have ice on the guides
which is jamming the sunroof.
If not, then it is most likely not your motor but probably the
drive mechanism that retracts the roof.
Not a fun job to undertake.
I had to do this on my old 760 a number of years ago and it required
removal of the headliner and the sunroof itself.
