trans fluid flush procedure 850 1995

I'm a bit confused....you say, disconnect upper cooling hose, cover it with a baggie (sorry for the english, but what is baggie ? plastic bag?)
what to do with the exposed upper inlet on the rad ?
my car MY02 has about 45K miles, shall do it ? its driven 20/80 (town/hwy).
