Probably the glue holding the tweeter magnet in place has failed and it has fallen into the woofer magnet below. Remove the speakers and the cover screens and see if that's what happened. If so, it's an easy fix (clean the surfaces and reglue and duct-tape the magnets back into the holder). Or get new speakers.
