Frozen door 850

Diana,

I don't think it's a surprise the lock refroze quickly. since once there is water in the mechanism it will freeze up, unthaw, and refreeze again.
You need to dry up or replace the water in the lock/handle. The best way is to diassemble and pack the lock with lithium (white) grease. In an emergency, you might try spraying WD40 onto any surface of the lock you can reach, including keyhole.

Maybe others have more ideas.
Don M.
