98 V70 CRUISE Intermittent Problem

I am back!

Symptoms: out of 10 times activated, Crusie Control works only once.

1. Just drilled 2 small holes under the electric air pump recently
(? unrelated to Cruise problem)
2. Sprayed WD40 to brake switch.
3. Checked all vacuum hoses to cruise actuator and seem OK.

Can anyone give me a lexture on how Cruise Control work in the S/V70 series?
I need a lecture before I can work on solving this unsolved mystery....
