ceramic pads 850

I need new front brake pads on the wifes 850. My mechanic tells me that ceramic are the way to go. Long life, quiet, no dust, disapates heat etc..
It's been 6 months since the question was asked by someone else, but has anyone put ceramic pads on their 850 yet? How are they?
