My wife has a 2001. I actually like the size and in town driving more than my V70T5 as it seems just the right size vehicle for everyday driving.
However, make sure to get a turbo engine as even she thinks its underpowered (she has the smallest engine).
Very disappointed with the dealer service level, to point of considering other brands for next car. No hurry yet.
She's had a few finicky problems with service lights and such.
No major mechanical issues at ~ 40K miles.
