Rear Bumper cover drooping in driver side V70-XC70

By any chance, did you have your bumper painted because of a rear-end accident? When my V70 got hit from behind at about 2 MPH, I had my bumper painted, and had the same problem you are describing. It turns out that the metal brackets that hold the bumper were bent, and needed to be replaced.
