Well this may be long but here goes........... Remove the wheel, remove the large nut on end of axle. with a compothane hammer or soft mallet knock the shaft loose on the splines, put some penetrationg oil and let it soak while you continue. Remove the two bolts holding the lower arm to the subframe, should be 15 mm head on bolt and 18 mm head on nut and remove the bolts and swing the whole assembly outwards while pushing the shaft in on the splines and remove it from the hub completely. This is sometimes difficult because of rust, if the rust is so severe you may need a wheel puller to push it out. the inner shaft is held in by a self retaining clip so you will need to have help on person holding and pulling the shaft while you pry it loose from the transmission. it will just pop out sometimes it helps to kinda turn it while you pry. The drivers side is hard to release. The passenger side (the long one) is much easier and will just pull out by hand. Hope this helps.
