I don't believe there ever was a problem with ETMs. The ABS module caused error messages that triggered the ETM message. Once the ABS is corrected, (Look on ebay for repair options less than $100) the other messages may clear. The more common problem with the fuel system is the wire on the Air Mass Sensor. Try these steps first. You may save.
