This sounds like a clear case of the sum of the parts being worth more than the whole. Check your local zoning office to see what the restrictions are on keeping an inoperable vehicle. Best case scenario would be if they allow you to keep it with a car cover over it. Buy a cheap car cover to keep the neighbors happy and cannibalize the car. Check the ebay listings to see what's selling and offset your loss by the sale. Good luck.
