Emergency Brake help!!!!!! V70-XC70 1998

For the first 4 years I owned my '98 V70 AWD, it was warping rear brake rotors about every 10K miles. the dealer kept replacing them under warranty. Finally another shop discovered that the emergency brake cable had rusted into a position that was allowing the emergency brake pads to constantly rub against the rotors, causing them to overheat and warp. (I don't use my emergency brake).

It was a $600 repair for them to replace the cable (the entire exhaust system needs to be removed to gain access), but after they did it, my warping rotor problem went away. Perhaps you are suffering from the same problem.
