If you do take out the instrument cluster make sure that when you have it out you remove the "service light" bulb and cover the hole with a piece of electrical tape. I changed out the gear on my 97 850 and forgot to do that and now I have to put up with that stupid light coming on for 2 minutes everytime I start the car.
