I thought my fan was going until I saw the pollen filter...........YIKES...it was clogged and the fan suction actually pulled the filter paper sooo hard it ripped it and it was flapping at high speed...sounding like the fan was humming.
$14 and about 10 minutes of work fixed the problem...that was 2 years ago! Just changed the filter again.
