1998 S70 S70

The usual advice applies: what is the condition of the car, and does the owner have all the repair and maintenance receipts to document the maintenance? Is the car clean and shiny? Does the current owner seem to be a methodical type, or is he a slob? Slob in appearance and mentality probably means slob in maintenance. Is this car manual or atomatic transmission? With either transmission, has he changed the fluid regularly? If the AT is original, it's hard to tell how much more service you can expect from it, but a 5-speed should be fine for years. Does everything electrical work (EVERY light, window motor, lock, etc.)? Finally, have you taken the car to a mechanic who really knows European cars? Good luck.
