Replacing airpump check valve--will it save the airpump motor? 850

Yup, drill two holes in the bottom of the housing, one on each side of the housing at the lowest point. This will help. Replacing the checkvalve now is also a good idea. I have still replaced this pump three times over the life of my '98 V70, and the last time was with holes in it! Just not a good design.
