Gents, thanks for the feedback and the solution was....as posted by another...clean the contacts and back in business. Replacing the switch would have solved the problem but would have cost $80-$150 and I would not have had the fun of removing the door panel and thus creating another problem !!! When I reinstalled the door panel with the window switch cleaned and operative, I left the gas filler door disconnected. Nothing more disconcerting than to be at the pumps with an empty gas tank, and you can't open that %$@&&%$ door. Lesson learned.....re-connect everything before you lock up for the night !!
