This time... it's the shift lever S70

Yup - had the same symptoms, same issue.

A little WD-40 sprayed between the botton and the rubber knob provided some short term improvement, but as it dried out the problem returned.

A new shift knob will fix it - I just changed mine. It's a quick job, but be careful not to give yourself a black eye when removing the old knob!
