I just replaced mine on my 2001 S80 2.9. Did a lot of research on TireRack.com, and I went with the new Goodyear Assurance ComforTreds. They are very highly rated (much higher than the stock Michelins I replaced), give a smooth ride, and very little noise. And a 80K mile warranty. They are also bi-directional so you can rotate them in an X pattern (which I like to do), which you can't do with unidirectional tires. Read the reviews/ratings on TireRack.com for more info.
The best deal I found was at a local Goodyear dealer (Green Brook, NJ) -- $439 for four 215/55/16's and they threw in an alignment for free. Plus I got another 40 bucks off for opening a Goodyear credit card account, with 90 days no interest...too good of a deal to pass by. Their total installed price was less than TireRack, when you add in shipping, mounting, balancing, etc., plus it was a whole lot easier.
Hope this helps...
