I believe it is the same place as the 96 850's. Under the cowl on the passenger side. You need to remove 3 torx screws and disconnect the drain hose that will allow you to raise it enough to look under. If it's there, it will be mounted in a holder over the fan intake hole. If not, you can get the holder/filter from FCP Groten for about $35.
