Memory Seats and Mirrors V70-XC70 2005

The way it's supposed to work: set seat and mirror to desired position with ignition on, switch off car and lock door with remote. Have wife do the same with HER remote. now unlock the car with YOUR remote and open the door, they should return to your settings. The car only remembers the remote, not who used it last. There are provisions for 6 remotes, but only 3 will activate seat/mirror memory. Do not trade keys. Have seen many cases where people trade keys/remotes and wonder why the memory does not work.
