I think the stalling could be a fuel pressure problem. Driving = higher fuel pressure than idle. An easy test is to put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail, or to change the fuel filter anyway, as it is probably original and overdue. I would then change the plugs, cap, rotor, coil and see if that works. Again, it probably needs it. Check the air filter, too. And look for cracked vacuum hoses.
As for the whistle, Maybe a vent door is causing it, try moving those, or switching the recirc function. Could be something feel in the system intake or vents. Does it have a cabin air filter? Good idea to get one.
