Good for you. Dr. Diesel designed his engine to run on peanut oil, so there should be no reason you cannot use a 50/50 mix of corn oil and diesel fuel. Less smoke, too!
I would go to the European web site for Volvo and see what kind of engine they have over there. The 1.9L would be grossly under powered. I think there is a 3 liter engine around somewhere...
