Then all Volvo engines sold in the USA since 1993 have been interference engines.

(If you're not in the USA but rather in a less-developed country where high octane gas isn't always available, and the non-turbo in question is a 10 valve, not our 20 valve motor, I hear that some have low enough compresion ratios that they're not interference engines. But if you're in the USA, or the motor has 20 valves, yes, it's an interference engine!)
