auto trans oil level ?? 850

hi the leak seems to drip from where the box joins the engine there looks to be a small machined hole there on the join ,its a very small amount dripping out ,the guy who done the job drained some atf out last week as it was overfull he said as there was too much it may a forced some out of the gearbox breather and may take a few days for the excess to stop dripping .is there such a thing as a breather on these boxes could it just be overfilling causing the leak .he said he will do the job again free of charge if it does not stop .
