Could be throttle body buildup. Not too difficult to remove and clean with some spray brake cleaner. Be sure to remove the flame trap fitting a drill out the small vacuum hose tube. It gets plugged w/ hard carbonlike material. If the gasket doesn't tear you should be able to reuse it. Good luck w/ your new baby.
