I recently received a recall notice on my 99 V70 XC. Headlight switch replacement. Lights could suddenly go out. I don't know the extent of the vehicles covered but it may be worth looking into. I fould a website somewhere that allowed me to look up recall notices by Make/Model/Year. It may have been on Autozone or PartsAmerica website. I really don't remember.
