Air conditioning blower resistor failure? 850 1994

Does the blower stop working at all speeds? I have that same issue, and have learned to live with it, although it is NOT a resistor necessarily. The resistor problem seems to be related to the fan works on full, but not on the slower speeds.

Dig around the site for the same problems. People claim it is a pack of some sort behind the glove box. I assume they are right as they are having the same symptoms as this.

I live in the south, and mine does the same thing, but the blower does not blow at any speed until the car is restared (I have gotten pretty good at putting it in N and restarting the car while rolling).

Also, get a sun visor for your car and park near trees if you can. I live in the South, but the visor and picky parking keep it happening less frequently. It also is more likely to happen I have found when the car is humid. On hot but dry days, I have no problems.

But poke around for the part. I believe people said it was around $150 or less and a pretty quick replacement.

Good luck
