DIES OUT WHILE DRIVING 850 1993

What does it do at highway speed? Has this been happening more and more frequently? After it "dies" and restarts, is that it for the rest of the day? A clogged fuel filter can act as you are describing, but so can a struggling fuel pump or failing fuel pump relay. If the fuel filter hasn't been changed in the recent past, and/or if you frequently use "off the beaten path" filling stations, that's the primary suspect. Good luck.
