ipd rear engine mount--the blue one. 850

The blue one looks cool, but when I needed one, I got it at Volvo ($10.04). Took off the torque arm, pressed the old one out, and pressed the new one in (I have an arbor press in my shop). Took all of 20 minutes, including wash-up.

If you try to do it without removing the torque arm, you'll have to hacksaw the remaining shell of the old bushing in a couple spots to get it out, being careful not to damage the strut itself. That can make a major mess in the engine compartment. Of course the ipd bushing then goes in easily since it's a two piece unit. To press in the Volvo bushing with the torque strut in place, you'll have to make yourself a tool out of threaded rod, and use a couple plumbing type flanges to get it centered, and even then, if you've never done a similar job before, it can be a hassle.

If I had to do it again, I'd still go with removing the strut, and pressing in the OEM part.

Good luck
