oil consumption increasing 850 1995

Just a thought....

Have you looked under the car to see if there are any leaks which might be occurring only when the car is at speed? (therefore no drips when parked) Maybe a leak that's only happening when the motor is running, and then gets blown off by the passing air?

Really dirty looking oil (sooner than expected) is usually the byproduct of combustion gases getting past the piston rings... a pressure leak-down test can confirm the integrity of the rings, but 130K isn't the kind of mileage at which ring wear usually becomes a suspect. The proper spark plug appearance usually means that the valve guides seals aren't bad (no blue smoke at start-up, right?).

My turbo engine still gets close to 2000 miles per quart, with 113K on it.

Good luck
