This Facebook whistleblower fraud could mean the end of this forum.
Zuckerberg: "Please don't regulate me, please! Oh, well I guess we have to do what's good for the people."
The con games are just so obvious these days. Of course, just look around. Most people aren't very smart or classy. My adventures from working class poor to upper middle class showed me that even the nicest neighborhoods are populated by trailer trash minded people with more material gain than their labor justifies.
I expect the plan is to create a new department to focus on regulation of internet speech. I can't wait to learn the Orwellian name they give it.
I'll check with a lawyer, but I believe that if I just make this entirely private and invite only, then I can probably escape what Facebook "has to do." That is, hire an army of tattoo-necked, puzzle-headed, dumpy morons to play offended for some imaginary minority of "victims."
I've been working nonstop since I was under 12. It's pretty easy to argue that I'm in the 20% column of those who hold this system up (who carry the other 80%). I've put my energy in the wrong place for much of my life and need to pivot.
To the younger people on the forum: save your energy for your local community. Incorporate and stay low; don't threaten the cartels (big corporations who own everything, including the minds of most people). Play their game to the letter of the law but don't be tempted by their empty, corrupt culture. Lead people you care about. Build, build, build as your way to give to others.
This forum remains one of my best efforts. We didn't become what these ugly beasts, like Facebook, became. I don't covet or envy any of that. I'm always happy to see what still goes on here.
